I have participated in the Awaecnan You weight loss hypnotherapy program – my journey has been epic! I have gone from 116kg: after my 3rd child in 2012 ( Jodi and her Team got me on a plateau at 111kg: in 2013) now I’m 85kg and in clothing that I haven’t looked at since I was a teenager!

The team at Awaecnan weight loss hypnotherapy have been supportive and instrumental in this life-changing experience! I believe, apart from the 1:1 sessions, the added Hypnosis downloads sessions support is crucial and pivotal in the success of this adventure – to start with I listened to them every night: you can’t change 30 years of habits without some major reinforcement!

I have discovered that food was my shield/armour and escape: any emotional response resulted in eating! I was morbidly obese, in excruciating pain (unstable pelvis) and very unhappy – not that you would know because I would just eat !! Acknowledging these forces at work in my life and then dealing with them through weight loss hypnosis was extremely powerful.

The monthly maintenance sessions are important in ensuring continued success and reprogramming food thought processes over the change in seasons – I liked to hibernate in winter and eat accordingly! The local family-run gym has become my new favourite place as opposed to the golden arches last year !!

The Weight loss hypnotherapy program was a positive influence. I am an anxious person, a worrier, a perfectionist. Yet with food, I have little self-control. I let emotions control what goes in my mouth. The program really makes you step back and analyse WHY you are out of control, why emotions control you and how to take that back.

I have children and I was teaching them bad habits. Yo-yo dieting, ‘good’ and ‘bad’ foods. I didn’t want them to grow up thinking that food was an enemy and a negative self-image.

For the duration of the program, I have lost 2kgs and made it to the gym 4 days a week, sometimes more. I feel 100% more positive. I recognise when my mind is slipping into old habits and don’t give them any power over me.

The program is easily set out and is not a chore. The voice is very calming and I felt relaxed. It is fantastic to listen to the program at night, I was a bit distracted a few times by my little ones so it needs to be quiet.

The website is simple to follow. I had no trouble finding the information and the weekly email reminders were a great help.

With weight loss hypnotherapy I have lost 17-18kgs and gone from a size 20 to a 14-16, I’m more aware of what I’m eating, and portions. I don’t beat myself up for eating something not so healthy and full of calories however I do make sure l enjoy it! I have tried new recipes with ingredients I would have never tried before.

I’m more mindful, and like the way I look in my clothes.
